Although new year is celebrated in spring time in indigenous cultures according to the cycles of nature, and also in the Vedic calendar - the start of the calendar year marks an opportunity for us to shift our mindset.
When millions of people across the world are celebrating the a new start at the some time, an energy portal of manifestation is created which you can use for your benefit, advance your goals and spiritual growth.
Having said that, reclaiming your ancient cyclical calendar will align you back to your original spiritual timeline.
One of the most effective ways to develop more self-awareness is journalling. There are so many different journalling methods to help you in your personal growth.
It is my firm belief that writing is just as important as meditation or any other practice, because we write on all the topics in the universe but rarely on our own feelings, experiences and to give validation to ourselves.
Because the outer world - it is all Maya. It is a mirror, it is a manifestation of consciousness and the patterns in our subconscious mind. As we heal our patterns and clear our karma, our reality shifts.
Use these 3 journalling prompts to generate more self-awareness in 2024:
Prompt 1: What are the largest ways in which I self sabotage? For example, getting angry and triggered very easily instead of taking time to transmute and heal your energy. Could be substance addiction, could be seeking external validation instead of practicing self love. Write them down and then write one positive action you can take in relation to each heal the pattern.
Prompt 2: What are the 3 most destructive self debilitating beliefs I carry about myself? For me, for example - one of the worst self beliefs I have is that I just don’t have any business acumen in me, other examples include “people always screw me over,” “I don’t fit into this society” (hello aliens, haha). In this, we are looking more for recurrent patterns of thought that bring you down. You will notice your own self-debilitating beliefs about the universe for example ‘the world is always lacking in resources’ in the way you interact with others. Write then a positive replacement for this belief you have about yourself.
Prompt 3: What are the positive qualities and strengths about myself I appreciate? It is really important to appreciate yourself, and not just go into your shadow. Self awareness cannot be only one aspect. You can also write down things you are naturally good at.
Prompt 4: Describe everything about your highest self. Describe your highest timeline, what do you look like in your peak happiness? In your optimal health? What kind of house do you live in? Describe more than specific labels or forms, the description of how it feels to be your own highest state of free flowing abundance. What does it feel like to always have enough money to travel anywhere you want? How does it feel to be surrounded by supportive positive community? These small things will shift your energy into a higher state.
